Honeymoon blog day 2

Sorry this is so long coming! December has been the BUSIEST month ever:

Up early at 6:30 am with Patrick. Had a very hot, very good shower. The ship had arrived at Catalina Island before we awoke, about 1 1/2 earlier than scheduled. The captain really turned on the jets to get us out of that crazy storm yesterday. No sign of bad weather today, really beautiful!

Sat down for a fancy breakfast in the restaurant. Fresh eggs & turkey bacon, fruit and juice. Everything you could ask for!

We went up to the sports deck to take a peek at our new adventure. The boys on deck!

We were ready to hop on the tender and go to Catalina Island! But Patrick was ready for a nap… so we went back to the room & let him sleep until 11am.

We headed down to the 4th deck & the line was a bit long for the tender… This is the busiest time of day to leave the ship… We waited for about 20 minutes…

On the tender:

The weather was sunny but still COLD! Glad we had our warm gear…

We hiked around the casino to a small beach.

Notice the white building in the second photo below…. This is “The Casino” (now a movie theatre)… we walked past it (to the right in the photo) to the little beach. This beach was totally deserted except for a few local snorklers.

We had a picnic lunch of pizza & snacks from our gift basket…

Back to the boat after a little shopping in town…

We set sail that night at 4:30pm. Calmer waters than last night! Patrick & Kevin had a long nap after all the hiking and excitement…. I went down to the laundry room (deck 7, aft) to wash clothes that were soaked in baby food from a suitcase malfunction.

Formal night at the dining room… Tasty lobster tail & a glass of white wine. We love our waiters & they love Patrick! :)

Patrick asleep at 8:30pm. Big day tomorrow, wine tour at 9am in Ensenada, Mexico!
